At SLO Smiles, our approach to dentistry is rooted in something simple: care that feels personal, thoughtful, and built to last.
Dr. Meredith Morgan has been part of that approach since joining the team in 2023, bringing a passion for advanced restorative dentistry and a deep commitment to patient-centered care.
We sat down with Dr. Morgan to talk about what drew her to SLO Smiles—and how she helps patients feel comfortable, confident, and supported every step of the way.
“I love that SLO Smiles was founded and run by a family, and that spirit continues to this day. We have an amazing team that truly cares about our patients and each other.”
That sense of continuity shows up in the experience patients have every day—familiar faces, thoughtful care, and a team that works together with a shared purpose.

“We do everything we can to ensure a comfortable visit. We always want to make sure you feel comfortable with any recommendations, and provide time to ask questions and collaborate.
Not only that, we have a number of ways to make the appointment more physically comfortable, with a gentle touch, profound numbing, breaks and a resting device for your jaw, lip care, sunglasses, blankets and more. We encourage patients to arrive in comfortable clothes and bring their favorite headphones.”
It’s a small shift—but it makes a big difference. Comfort isn’t just physical. It’s knowing you have time, space, and a say in your care.
“I always present the highest level of care and technology available to patients because everyone deserves the best, but the reality is that there are a lot of factors that go into deciding the ideal long term plan for every individual.
I work with my patients to focus on their top health and aesthetic priorities and ensure we are headed in the right direction with an end result in mind.”
In other words, it’s not about one “right” answer—it’s about finding the right path for you.
“There are so many ways that oral health and overall health are intertwined. We carefully review ways that your ongoing medical health may be impacting your dental health and vice versa.
Oftentimes, people see their dentist more frequently than their medical doctor, so we assist by taking your blood pressure, screening for sleep apnea, oral cancer and more.
I strongly believe that an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.”
It’s a philosophy that goes beyond teeth—because your oral health is connected to everything else.
“I love the technology we have available to demonstrate to patients what their outcomes could look like. A picture, or a 3D model taken by cameras on a wand (no goopy impression material needed!) can explain so much when there are a lot of options to choose from.”
Clear visuals. Clear explanations. Fewer surprises. It’s all part of helping patients feel informed and confident.
“It’s so rewarding to follow a patient through a comprehensive treatment plan. I’ve had the pleasure to help transform numerous patients from a severe disease state to happy, healthy and functional. Healthy teeth are beautiful teeth!”
That long-term transformation—that’s where the work really pays off.
“I genuinely care that all of my patients feel good about their smiles. Everyone deserves a smile they can eat with and feel good about showing off.”
If it’s been a while—or if you’ve been putting it off—you’re not alone. And you won’t be judged here.
Dr. Morgan’s approach is grounded in something simple: meet patients where they are, and help them move forward with clarity and confidence.
Whether you’re coming in for routine care or something more involved, you’ll have a team that listens, explains, and supports you every step of the way.
If you’re ready to get started—or just want to ask a few questions—we’re here for that too.
